Welcome to Tree Of Life United Ministries

Faith is believing what we can't see ... but it doesn't mean closing our eyes to what we do see

Tree Of Life United Ministries is committed to awakening God’s light and love through service and action, not through religion or dogma. That starts with awakening the love that is already in our hearts, brought alive by the joy that comes in the service of those in need.

We believe the human heart’s capacity for love is our greatest untapped resource. We seek to awaken the Spirit within by tearing down the walls that keep us separated. We believe, that as Nelson Mandela reminds us, “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world.”

What happens when Justin Timberlake and 25,000 fans sing Happy Birthday to 8 year old boy with Autism?

August 14, 2014

It was the great Leonard Bernstein who said, “Music can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable,” Which might explain why I haven’t been able to put into words what happened last night when my husband and I took our son, Julian to see Justin Timberlake and The Tennessee Kids for his 8th birthday. Having anticipated this event all summer, Julian put on his hat and tie,(because he didn’t have a suit;)

Then, true to his lyrics, Justin Timberlake proceeded to show us a few things. Namely, about love.

It was my son’s only gift request this year. Well, that and Benny Spaceship Spaceship from the Lego Movie. And while everyone knows I love Legos above all toys, Justin Timberlake was decidedly more appealing.
